5/7/2011: More caterpillars – and eggs too!

Wandering the yard I found a few more pipevine swallowtail caterpillars of medium size bringing the count of live “piggles” that we have found in the yard to 15. These beasties are happily munching away in one of our rearing cages.

On two separate aristolochia branches I also found 33 eggs. They have been put in a special rearing cage until they hatch.
